I am a Professor of Physics at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune, India.
My research interest is in creating and probing out-of-equilibrium soft matter systems using light. I am an experimental physicist by training, but I am also deeply interested in theoretical and computational questions related to light-soft matter interaction.
As an extension of my research, I enjoy exploring physics of everyday phenomena, and history and philosophy of science. My blogs are motivated by all aspects of my research and learnings.
